here’s the thing about being in your twenties
it’s all bullshit
some of us are travelling the world
some of us still live at home with our parents
most of us are broke
and all of us are struggling
just trying to make it by
just trying to survive
even the people who seem like they have their shit together
here’s a secret:
they don’t
no one does
all of us stay up until the wee hours of the morning either crying or working
sometimes both at once
all of us feel lost
all of us feel like losers
all of us feel like we’ll never make it
like we’re not good enough
and the thing is we’re all still so young
we have time to get our shit together
but it feels like we don’t
it feels like we all need to meet this bullshit criteria set by someone who obviously has no idea what it’s like to be in your twenties
so try not to stress
i know it’s all so scary right now
and it feels like you’re constantly trying to walk uphill
but you’ll make it to the top one day
just take your time
put one foot in front of the other
and remember
to breathe
